15-year anniversary of the Lunzenhof stud farm attracted huge crowds of visitors

Even in our wildest dreams we hadn't expected that thousands of  visitors from around the region and far beyond would come to our  little village of Gruen. The open day to mark the  15 year anniversary of the Lutzenhof stud farm provided for a real festival atmosphere in splendid summer weather in a way the place had not seen before.

Stars in the limelight were the Arabian horses that were presented to such a large crowd of people like almost never before. We are  extremely pleased that our festival could, in such a wonderful way, promote these noble animals with their philanthropic nature.

The undisputed star of the Lunzenhof stud, Al Lahab, was the center of  attention: Hundreds of hands sought contact with Al Lahab, who once again enjoyed being in the limelight and impress the audience with his patience, gentleness and beauty. Again, we thank Al Lahab's coach Frank Spoenle, who completed this presentation in the same outstanding way as he does his horse shows.

Thanks also to Andrew Schlicht, who professionally hosted the horse presentation and to Susi Poth, who provided for the background music. Thanks also to all the hardworking volunteers who had taken care behind, and in front of, the scenes to ensure that our festival could take place so smoothly, although it was well beyond the scope.

Again, we thank all our guests for their visit, for the great interest in our horses and our farm. The hours have passed in a flash, but will have a place in our hearts for ever. This festival was unique! Our horses have made a great contribution, but particularly all those who attended our anniversary made the festival this huge success. We invite you now to enjoy the pictures of our open day.

Al Lahab's champion of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship

He came, saw and conquered! With pride and joy we have the pleasure to announce that Al Lahab won at the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship, 18 to 20 March 2010, not only the class of stallions ten years and older with 93.13 points followed by Om el Extreem and BS Sandhiran Summerfest, but also the title of Gold Champion of the Senior Male Championship.

Six of the seven judges saw Al Lahab as the clear winner of the championship event that took place under the patronage of HH Sh. Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Already in 2007 Al Lahab won the championship in Dubai for the first time. Now it fills our hearts with gratitude and happiness that he could succeed for the second time. For the first time the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship 2010 was declared as one of only five World Title Shows. Next  to Dubai Al Lahab was a two times winner at the All Nations Cup in Aachen, Germany. At the World Championship in Paris he was voted World Champion and Reserve World Champion for the second time.

At the hands of his coach Frank Spoenle, Al Lahab is successful now for ten years. At this point we like to express with all our hearts how grateful we are for the great work he has done with our stallion. Between Frank Spoenle and Al Lahab more than just an excellent relationship exists during trainings and show. The two have become a team whose relation is based on friendship.
